It's coming...

Wed Nov 26, 2008, 12:05 PM
So, I've finally deleted the last of any of my pieces from here. And I uploaded to the deviations a shot of the layout I've tentatively sketched out for my website. (I like it much better than the one I have 1/3 completed.) Once I've completed construction, I plan to have the site go live by January '09. I'll post again when that goal has been met.

To all who are just coming to this site via a link somewhere, sorry! I'm still very much disaffected with DA. You can find my new sketches and doings here: [link]

Thank you for your kind words and support <3<3<3 it means alot.
(and your username rocks, haha)
:iconpurpleoctopus:
XD Thanks. If you don't mind my asking, though...Why didn't you decide to go for an art degree? Just decided to go for a BA in a money field? (I should've done that, really..)
:iconfresh4u:
no, actually I didn't go because my parents refused to let me. It was a "dead end" career that would just make me broke and in debt after college with no job (the school I wanted to go to and got accepted/a scholarship to was 40k a semester, too expensive). Theyre kinda right, its a really hard job market to get into. So I went with my second choice... I regret not going a little, because I'd learn so much more in school, but at least its a hobby I can do without professional training.

Personally, I say go into whatever you love doing. Choose happiness over money!
:iconpurpleoctopus:
Ahh. Yeah, I understand how hard it is to go against the parental grain on matters like that. My mother tried to dissuade me and convince me to go into something medical, where there's at least a large job market. But, nothing else interested me. I won't go and say schooling helped a terrible lot, but it did give me valuable experience that I'd never trade off.

~grin~ And you should point out to your parents sometime that it's hard to get a job in ANY field right now.

This is off the topic, but have you seen the recent footage of the barrel-headed fish? It's terribly fascinating!
:iconfresh4u:
Yeahh. True true. I miss that im missing the experience, I guess.

it is! the criminal justice field is booming too, its just as competative as art is it feels like... and i dont know what im going to specialize in, which is making it even harder for me. baaaah.

yes, i did!! i was so excited to see it. I actually made it the last fish in the book (well, the last one I did.. they'll be in alphabetical order in the book), because it was just too interesting. and creepy.... and .... yeah. wow.
